HMS Wrestling and Basketball Parents: The wrestling match tonight at Bush has been cancelled due to concerns about traveling in the weather. There is no practice. There is no basketball practice this afternoon. We apologize for the late notice.

The Bridge Music Project Performance is on November 22nd. Students from HMS and other local schools, have been working hard for the last 7 weeks writing and recording original songs. They will be performing these songs live at the Little Theater (at Hoquiam High School) on Friday. Some have also selected solo works to perform for the show. HMS Families: Next week students in PE will be beginning our lessons on Sexual Health Education. We had sent home information last month about this, but there is still time for you to preview the listed lessons by grade level, and you can still opt your child out if you would prefer. Students who are opted out will work on a different assignment during that time. Attached are two QR codes. The one on the left lets you go to the website where the materials and lesson plans are located for your preview. The one on the right takes you to an opt out form. HMS Wrestling Families: Thursday 11/14 match has been changed from Toledo to ELMA. 5:00 p.m. start time. Sorry for the last second change!!

HMS Families: If your child needs picture retakes, or missed the original picture day back in September, this Thursday is their chance to get that picture that could launch a glorious modeling career! Retakes are in the morning Thursday, November 14. They use a green screen for a background, so please do not have your child wear green for pictures. The ordering of pictures is done completely online now. You can order at Jostenspix.com, and our code is FE35824. Please allow a few days after Thursday for the photographers to get pictures uploaded for preview.

HMS Girls Basketball families: There has been for Wednesday's games. No Both JV and Varsity will be travelling to Chehalis Middle School. JV will play at 4:00, 7th Varsity at 5:15, and 8th Varsity at 6:30 p.m. There are several tweaks to the schedule that have come down over the last couple of days. We will be updating our calendar to reflect those changes. Thank you!

HMS Families: Sorry for the flood of information today....It's BUSY season. Our parent group, the Cub Club is selling these stylish tshirts and also has other designs that can be ordered. They are at conferences this week with tshirts ready to buy for $20 in assorted sizes. Other gear can be ordered (they have pics) through Sage Creations website. HMS Families: At conferences we are giving parents copies of these documents which outlines our Comprehensive Sexual Health Education lessons we are beginning as part of PE in November. The letter explains why we offer these lessons. The second document outlines, by grade level, the lessons we offer. There are two QR codes on the document. The first allows you to go look at the lessons listed, the lesson plan and materials we use. The second allows you to opt your student out of either an individual lesson or the course of lessons, if you wish. Students who are opted out will have alternative assignments. If you have questions, please call Mr. Cook at 360-538-8225.

HMS Families: A reminder that we have conferences this week. Monday is our evening conferences from 5:00-8:00 pm in the cafeteria. MONDAY IS A FULL DAY OF SCHOOL! Tuesday-Friday are 11:20 dismissals for students. Conferences on Tuesday-Thursday are from noon-3:30 pm. All conferences are in the cafeteria.
