HMS Families: Basketball Camp opportunity in June! Sarge's Basketball BAsic Training is now partnered with USA Basketball to bring skill development to boys and girls across the country. This program will focus on all levels of play and will provide the campers with a complete skills package to help them grow in the game. The Hoquiam Camp will be June 19-20 at the Hoquiam High School Gym. Grades 2-7 will run from 8 am-noon. Grades 8-12 will run from 1 pm-5 pm. The Cost is $80 per session. Enrollment forms are in the HMS Office.

HMS Families: Due to the number of students who have finished with their math testing we will be able to move our bell schedule out of the testing schedule to a normal schedule for the rest of the week. Students who still need to finish the ELA or Math tests will do so during the school day. Thank you!

HMS Families: Grizzly Prevention Squad and HOPE Squad are sponsoring a BINGO NIGHT at HHS Student Center on Friday, May 17 from 6-8 pm. Cost is $10/adult, $5 kid. Please park in the main parking lot. This event is also sponsored by Washington State Health Care Authority and the amazing folks at the My Town Coalition.

HMS 8th Grade parents and families: THIS TIME WITH THE DATE....We are having to make a change to the date of our 8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony to Friday June 14. Originally scheduled for Monday, June 17, the move was prompted to allow 8th grade students to also participate in activity camps scheduled on Monday, June 17. The ceremony will start at 11:30 a.m. in the HHS Gym. We apologize for the change.

HMS Families: We were able to finish (for the most part) ELA testing by Tuesday. As a result, HMS will be on a normal bell schedule for Wednesday and Thursday, and our normal Friday 1:15 Early Release. We will resume testing next week with the Math Assessment for grades 6, 7, 8.

HMS Families: Week at a Glance for May 6-10-State Testing for all, and a track meet at home to start the week!

Just a reminder that our kindergarten registration carnival event is tomorrow night. It is for all students who will be 5 before August 31st and entering kindergarten next year. Even if preschool or TK kids are already registered, please tell them to come join the fun! There will be pizza, games, prizes and they get a Grizzly Class of 2037 shirt.
